Written by Many of us consider Israel as our sister nation. We want to support Israel and encourage them, but as individuals are not quite sure how to do that. Fortunately there are several opportunities out there. You don’t have to be a millionaire to help. Even the smallest amount can go a long way in the right hands.
It's important in our charitable giving that our money goes to those we are intending it to help. Each of these charities have been rated by “Charity Navigator” for their responsible giving, responsible being the fact that the money goes to those who need it and the charity is honest in their reports. Here are some ways that you can help support Israel.
• International Fellowship of Christians and Jews– This organization has several departments you can give to. “Guardians of Israel”- feeding the hungry, provide medical assistance, support for the elderly and emergency relief. “Isaiah 58”- helping needy Jews with medical, food, winter care, soup kitchens, meals on wheels and safe housing. “Wings of Eagles”- providing Freedom Flights and settlement aid to Jew returning to their homeland. • The Blue Card-They help holocaust survivors individually with medical, dental, emergency cash, vitamins, and emotional support. Charity navigator score for accountability and transparency is 100%.
• Yad Eliezer –Their goal is to break the cycle of poverty. They have a widows and orphans fund, birthdays for soldiers, dental clinics, food boxes, medical assistance, meals on wheels, as well as many other areas where they help support Israel.
